SomBrazil, is one of the most traditional and fusion styled bands out of Sao Paulo, Brazil in years. Led by singer/songwriter Marcos Martins; and his eclectic 4-piece band including the amazing and sweet voice by Cleo from Brazil and their powerful percussionists. SomBrazil has routinely pushed the card creating a raw style of its own, fusing together musical influences of its traditional Brazilian roots north to south and everything in between. Not your typical band sticking in one genre, SomBrazil, takes you on a journey playing musica of their influences of Afro-Brazilian roots ranging from the beautiful sounds of Bossa Nova, to Samba-Reggae & Axe from the Bahia, Funk from Rio de Janeiro & traditional called "MPB" Popular Brazilian Music of course the drum beat pounding of carnival style celebrations.
